Use Case: A creamy and smoky cheese dip that’s perfect for parties and gatherings.
Description: Take your cheese dip to the next level with a rich, smoky flavor. This Smoked Cheese Dip is perfect for parties, gatherings, or any occasion where you want to impress your guests with a deliciously unique appetizer.
Ingredients:
● 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
● 1 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
● 1 cup cream cheese, softened
● 1/2 cup sour cream
● 1/4 cup mayonnaise
● 2 cloves garlic, minced
● 1 tsp smoked paprika
● 1/2 tsp black pepper
● 1/2 tsp salt
● 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
● Wood chips (hickory or apple work well)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, shredded smoked gouda cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spoon the cheese mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and spread it evenly.
4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5. Add Smoke: Once the dip is baked, use your Bon Apperoo™ culinary smoker to add the desired wood chips (hickory or apple work well) and follow the instructions to infuse the cheese dip with smoke for about 5 minutes. Ensure the smoke fully envelops the dip for a rich, smoky flavor.
6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the smoked cheese dip with chopped green onions, if desired. Serve immediately with crackers, bread, or fresh vegetables.
Pro Tip: For an extra kick, try adding a few dashes of hot sauce or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture before baking.
